Food blog Gane & Gaffel wrote a nice review of our food, read it in danish right here, otherwise enjoy the photo series. You can also follow their culinary adventures by clicking the picture below.

January has been an amazingly busy month, besides involvement with Vega nightclub and Copenhagen Fashion Week we found time to give our Jægersborggade shop a little face lift with this pleasant couch and wall painting. By the way, we are working on some exciting things for march, so stay tuned.

Remember that thing you told yourself on new years eve? Yes, that whole “let’s try to lose weight and eat healthy in 2011”. If you’re still holding to that thought come by one of our stores, we try to make eating healthy exciting and tasty!

We have salads, onigiri’s, bento’s and much more.

Hey, here’s a last little update before the blog goes on holiday. If you are around Jægersborggade come by and see how good our Christmas lights look, and if you’re hungry you can try our new chicken pumpkin kare (brown rice, french chicken breast and pumpkin in japanese kare sauce). We will be closed in Jægersborggade from the 20th of december until the 8th of january (both days included) while our Grønnegade shop will be closed from the 23rd of december until the 26th (including both days) and again from the 31st of december until the 2nd of january (both days included). We are however still opened for orders during the holidays, to know more, give us a call at 36 96 65 55.

We wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year!

   - Onigiri

We are not the only ones being extravagant with our funny rice triangles, here are a few pictures of how creative Japanese can be when preparing their Bento’s and Onigiri’s!

We actually got a little creative and with the help of our friend Liv turned two Onigiri’s into a butterfly!

Our kitchen has been busy on a new warm meal called Karaage Bento. This contains homemade crispy chicken nuggets, and a japanese potato salad, and is perfect for those colder fall/winter days.

Here is the result of a little bit of fun we had on our shop’s walls. Go see it for yourself in Grønnegade, it is a real artistic treat for the eye!

We use Seaweed in most of our products, and did you really know its beneficial value?

Nothing defines a company more than the people behind it, here are the smiling additions to our growing team!

Here is a little teaser from our saturday afternoon photoshoot. As you can see we went all in with the creativity!

On a further note, it is now official and we are opening a new shop in Gronnegade 41 - you can expect an amazing opening party for the occasion. Finally, due to our busy scheduel the next two weeks the blog will be seldom updated, see you soon!

A while back we extended our product range with a line of dressings. Mama-Chan’s homemade is the name of this line which is produced with a lot of love and the best ingredients. With a price range from Dkk 60,- to Dkk 65,- they are the perfect accessory for a successful grill night or simply to give more taste to your salad. Do come by the shop to hear more about the dressings and get tips on where to use them!

We are turning our shop into a full out experience center and therefore borrowed this 80’s arcade machine from our wonderfull neighbour Ruben og Bobby.

Danish and Nordic DJ champion Christian (AKA DJ Graded) testing out his quick mixing skills on our old school arcade game!

Onigiri’s are a new food concept here in Denmark, this is why we take extra time to educate our customers about the product. It might seem quite foreign to many, and usually people will just asume we are making sushi, yet we don’t. Here is an example of a sliced onigiri, which should give anyone a good idea of what our product is.
